Jessica McDonald, BscPT
Registered Interim Physiotherapist

Jess is an Australian physiotherapist who earned her degree, BScPT, at Charles Sturt University, receiving the Deans Award for Academic Excellence in 2013 and 2014. Prior to this, Jess obtained a Diploma of Remedial Massage from the Australian College of Massage in 2010, and has been working in the health industry for the past seven years.

While working at hospitals and providing subacute rehabilitation services in Australia, Jess has gained experience treating clients with vestibular disorders, neurological conditions, post-surgical rehabilitation and also teaching her clients about best practices for falls prevention. Jess uses her thorough clinical assessment skills, manual therapy techniques, taping, as well as her growing Clinical Pilates knowledge to empower people to get the best out of their bodies.

Jess has a strong interest in sports physiotherapy, touring internationally as the physiotherapist for the professional Australian/Slovenian Road Series Cycling Team. Most recently, she toured as the physiotherapist for the 2017 “Tour of Japan” with Attaque Gusto Cycling Team, and has even completed tours in Thailand and Australia. Jess has set up and ran mobile physiotherapy clinics at major international mountain-bike events across the Asia Pacific.

She has enjoyed working closely with men’s Australian Rules Football teams and women’s provincial basketball teams. Jess was even selected to complete Basketball Australia’s National Intensive Training Centre Program and represented her province at the Women’s National Championships.

When she is not busy helping clients at the clinic, she is enjoying Vancouver’s outdoor lifestyle and learning how to skate. Jess is passionate about assisting all clients fine tune their bodies to perform at their best.
