Marina completed her Masters in Physiotherapy at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario and is an active member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association’s Global Health Division. Prior to her physiotherapy education, Marina completed a BSc. in Kinesiology with honours from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She then became a certified personal trainer through the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology. Marina uses knowledge from her background in biomechanics and exercise prescription to help her patients learn functional movement patterns in order to relieve pain and return to the sports and activities they enjoy. She combines manual therapy and dry needling techniques to improve patients’ neuromuscular dysfunction. Marina has also taken post-graduate courses in post-concussion assessment and management. When she is not working, Marina is out exploring the beautiful west coast and keeping active through running, swimming, and yoga.
